United Center covers a width of 960,000 square feet, and that make it the largest arena in U.S in physical size. The arena hosted more than 200 events over the year, and since its opening, it received over than 20 million people. For Bulls and Blackhawks events, its known that it exceeds the seating capacity. It was until January 1995 that Blackhawks moved to the arena because of NHL lockout in the sport year 1994-95.
When build, United Center acoustics were created to amplify the level of noise for recreation. After the renovation of the arena in 2009-10, the stadium is containing now 169 executive suites on 3 levels. Several other sport games were hosted at the arena apart from Bulls and Blackhawks games including Big Ten Mens basketball Tournament, Roundball Classic.
A lot of family events and concerts are also hosted at the arena every year. Just for example, Madonnas MDNA Tour stopped at the arena two nights back in September 2012. And as part of The Swedish House Mafia tour in 2013, they performed at the arena.
